David Tieman of Tieman's Fusion Coffee....

Well, It's official....

Our previous partner, David Tieman of Tieman's Fusion Coffee, is making it legal and known....

He never intends to purchase our half of the company....

He has filed for personal bankruptcy....

His payoff was personally guaranteed, which a man of his word and Christian integrity for which he claims to have, would make good on, or at least make contact with his debtor to discuss....

Especially since Tieman's Fusion Coffee is still a viable company in business....

Thanks Java!

Meet Me On Monday....

Although it's Sunday night! Maybe you'll read Java's questions she posted on Monday...

1.  What is your favorite yogurt flavor? Plain ol' Vanilla. If we're talking yogurt. I like to add granola, nuts and bananas to it. If we're talking frozen yogurt, I like to mix vanilla and peanut butter cup with nuts on top.
2.  Ankle or knee socks? and on the same theme, white socks or colored?? Really? Is there anyone over the age of 8 wearing knee socks any longer? Really the only time I wear socks is when I wear my running shoes, and that's with an ankle - white by the way - sock.

Feeling Beachie's questions of the day:

1.      I cannot eat just one: Oh wow, really... hm, peanut M&M's, chips of any kind, jordan almonds, any kind of nut, and there is more, those just quickly come to mind. Self control is not my strong point.
2.      When I am in a bad mood ____ always makes me feel better: Hm... I'm a bit puzzled by this. I suppose it depends what put me in the bad mood... I think i need to roll this answer around in my mind for a bit.
3.      Happiness is: The love and support of family and friends.
4.      The most comfortable thing I own is: My couch, It may not be as pretty as it was 14 years ago but its so dang comfy.

Meet Me On Monday....

 Java's questions this week...

1.  What is your favorite bagel flavor? Haven't met a favorite bread product I don't like - but if I have to pick a fav bagel, its the everything. Yummo!!
2.  If you had an extra $100 right now, what would you spend it on? Bathing suits for the kids
3.  What is the last thing that you felt guilt about doing? Ok, gonna sound crazy, but buying a $1.49 burrito at El Polo Loco. Money is so tight that a simple "extra" purchase like that puts me right into guilt mode.
4.  Soft serve ice cream or hand dipped?  Let me start by saying this answer is a 'redo' - I thought hand dipped was when they take the soft serve and dip it into chocolate that hardens - which I love. After reading Java's answer I understand hand dipped to be, well, ice cream. So, I like hand dipped. Soft serve only when it's dipped!!
5.  Are you allergic to anything? Yes, anything that involves cleaning and planning meals. Have the epi pen ready they send me into convulsions every time!

Meet Me On Monday....

Have not played this in a while, once again hoping on Java's question train...

1.  Crunchy or smooth peanut butter? Either way. I've always bought smooth for the family, but just recently we've switched to crunchy. I like to add a little honey and cinnamon to a heaping spoonful and eat apple slices with it. Found out I really like the crunchy, but I am a nut lover.
2.  What is your favorite color Rose?  Probably sterling roses, which are a lavender color
3.  Do you remove your shoes when you walk into your home? No, we have dark wood floor. I'm actually a little put off when people want you to remove your shoes coming into their home. I understand the reason behind it, but its not a "welcoming" feeling to me.
4.  What is your favorite season? Summer - Sunday beach days are my all time favorite days. And i love wearing tank tops and shorts or skirts, cute little dresses.
5.  Approximately how many hours a day do you spend blogging? Very little.... I spend more time reading others blogs.

Yippee, It's Follow Friday....

1. Despite the fact that I should know better, I still always: Man, where does this list start and does it ever end? Eat things that are not good for me (ie, sugary sweets and salty goodness), make excuses why I can't exercise (cause it's no fun doing it myself), question God and His plan (cause the past few years and the days I'm encountering sure have not been MY plan). Lack having patience with my kids (why can't I be Mrs. Brady?), neglect to eat breakfast (even though its the most important meal of the day, or so they say)... Oh I could go on...

2. I _____ when I am worried: I stress... and stress some more.... and then stress even a little more... the past several years worry is all I seem to do... Big sigh...

3. I always forget__________: Geesh, I forget everything these days. It's amazing to me that I can actually remember anything.

4. ___________________is the best! Summer - LOVE summer, the beach, the clothes, the tanned skin. Sitting poolside, going to the river. JUST. LOVE. SUMMER.

Meet Me on Monday....

Love Java's questions:

1.  Who would be your dream celebrity date?
Brad Pitt
2.  Do you have any food restrictions? Nope, however I wish I could restrict myself from sugar. I lack complete self control over my sweet tooth.
3.  How much time do you take to get ready in the morning? An hour, this natural beauty doesn't come quickly!Very envious of those of you who can leave your hair wet and it naturally dries gorgeous. And I'm the Tammy Fay Baker of mascara use -I was not gifted the eyelashes I desire.
4.  Sausage or bacon? Why can't it be bacon and sausage? Mostly bacon though
5.  Do you Google, Bing or Yahoo? Google

Fill In Friday!!!

1. My favorite kitchen secret is: Um, hm, I really don't think I have one. I'm feeling a bit left out if this is something I should have. Unfortunately there's no secrets in my kitchen, just miracles that edible things come out of it!!

2. _____is my favorite flavor of ice cream: Since childhood Mint and Chip has always ranked number one. Since being married to my husband, I've really come to love chocolate and peanut butter, especially the kind you get at Cold Stone where they mix it all for you. But honestly, I can consume mass amounts of just about any ice cream - yummy....

3. My favorite pair of ______ finally wore out: Oh so sad, my black boots. I wear them with everything, and they were hotter then hot. They were actually my third pair of the same Steve Madden boot. Three inch heels, hit right below the knee - with pants, skirts or dresses... I'm currently searching Ebay in hopes to snag another pair. Victoria's Secret currently sales them but I can get them cheaper on Ebay... hm... I really miss them....

4. If I could just have one more ______. Redo of the last four years. They have not been the best....

Love that I can do Meet me on Monday on Sunday night....

1.  If you had to eat only one food for the rest of your life, what would it be? Mexican... hands down. I can't pick one thing, that's too tough, but as I've said before, I think I'm a Hispanic women trapped in a blond Caucasian body.
2.  Do you write your blog posts in advance or the day you post them?
99.9% of the time the day I post them.
3.  Have you ever ridden in an ambulance? Yes. My mother, brother and I were in a car accident when I was probably about 9 or 10. Another car pulled right out in front of us and my mom broke her collar bone. I hit the dash board with my face, but was fine. Unfortunately we were headed to my Aunts with our Thanksgiving turkey. Needless to say our family gathering ended up turkey-less that year.
4.  What is your favorite candle scent? Vanilla
5.  Coffee or tea? Well, absolutely coffee..... But.... let me tell ya about a little coffee company I know that puts green tea in with their coffee as well as two other super foods.... Living Java Coffee (which my husband and I happen to own). Check out our website, it tells you it all. But suffice to say, I get the best of both worlds, GREAT tasting coffee with all the benefits of green tea....

Follow Friday

Feeling Beachie (which I love love love the name of because I LOVE the beach) turned me on to her Friday fill in... so here it goes...

1. If I don’t _____ in the morning, my day feels off - I need a shower and my coffee. Both shuttle me into awareness of the day.

2. When someone walks into my house for the first time, they usually comment on _____- my wood floors. We spent a boat load on them with money from a trust we inherited, and they are beautiful!!!

3. Every time I see the movie, ______, I cry - yeah... though I love a good movie, I don't have anything that comes to mind. And I can't say there are too many movies I'll watch repeatedly. I feel lame, but I really don't have an answer for this. I am a sap, if there is a sappy moment, I have tears.

4. My feet feel best when ______ - I've treated them to a pedicure, which I haven't done in some time. Doing them myself just isn't the same.

Yes, It's Monday AGAIN....

I love Never Growing Old's meet me on Monday posts cause they give me something to post about with out much thinking (which I can't seem to do too much of these days)...

1.  Crunchy or soft tacos?
We eat tacos a lot at home. Fish tacos in the summer, chicken all year long. Always soft - corn, no flour. Although when I go out, I love crunchy. I am a mexican food addict. I swear I should have been born to a Hispanic family.
2.  Do you scrapbook?
Oh heck no. I gave it a shot, but it takes way too much time and way too much creativity. I'm very good at copying - no originality in my creativeness. I figure I'll take it up when my kids have grown and flown the coupe, then I can look back and miss the days of long ago. I am envious of the beautiful books I've seen, but that gene is just missing from my dna.
3.  Do you take any daily medications?
Nada. However, now that my kids are a teen and preteen, there are days I wish I could consume enough to take me to la la land!!
4.  What is your favorite sound?
Depends when you ask me. Silence is rare, so I treasure that when in the rare moments it occurs. I love the sound of my neighborhood - its so quiet and you can hear the birds - always reminds me that God takes care of the birds, how much more will he take care of me. The ocean... I can sit on a beach and listen to the waves endlessly, it puts my soul at rest. Laughter, true from the gut giggles and laughs. And the words I love you...
5.  Where were you born?
Fullerton, California - I'm a born, raised and can not ever imaging leaving - Californian

A Special Request....

Very recently a child who attends my daughter's school was diagnosed with a brain tumor.

She is 12 years old.

If you have a facebook profile, I'd love for you to "like" her page. She has a fun goal to reach 10k friends, and I would love to see her reach that goal by the end of next week. She started her page at the beginning of last week and currently has over 4k followers.

Here is her facebook link Jessica Joy Rees and her website jessicajoyress.

She is an inspiration. She's has an incredible faith. She is already touching the lives of many.

But...  she is only a child......

Today's Meet Me On Monday....

1.  What jewelry do you wear 24/7?
None - I take my wedding ring off at night, sometimes forgetting to put it back on when weekends roll around. If I do not have a reason to go into the jewelry box, there it will sit. I love people who can accessorize, and though I do have my fair amount of baubles, I typically gravite to the same pair of earrings, little gray and white seed pearl clusters, that go with everything.
2.  Do you twirl your spaghetti or cut it?
Twirl - where's the fun in eating cut spaghetti??!!!
3.  How many siblings do you have?
I have one brother, 3 step brothers and 3 step sisters - love them all dearly
4.  Were you named after anyone?
Nope - I'm original baby!
5.  Coke or Pepsi?
Not a soda drinker really, but Pepsi all the way. When I was pregnant with my son for some reason my body REALLY liked the taste of Pepsi. Even though I do not consume much soda, during that pregnancy I allowed myself one Pepsi and week - it was like drinking liquid gold to me. I could easily go the rest of my life and not drink another soda. Now coffee, that's a whole different ball game!!

Meet me on Monday

Never Growing Old's questions for the day:

1.  Do you have a fireplace in your home?
Yes. Gas. Can't stand where it's situated in the room. It's way off to the right of the room - really, in my opinion never made any sense as to why they added one in. Because It's gas it never seemed to add any warmth to the room, so I took out all the innards and put in a cute candle holder with about 9 candles. Much prettier in my opinion.
2.  Can you drive a stick shift?
Yes. First car was a stick. I learned the hard way. Forced to drive my new car (graduation present) home in 5pm traffic on the 55 to the 91 freeway, which if you are from these parts you would know is a stop and go parking lot. Nothing like learning in the heat of the fire. I loved driving stick, always felt like the car was completely under my power. When i bought my first automatic I missed the clutch for just a bit, and now I can't imaging going back.
3.  How many computers are in your home?
Two - mine and my husbands.
4.  Are your taxes done yet?  Do you do them yourself?
No and no
5.  What is your favorite meal of the day?
Any meal that is made by someone else.

And there you go.... a little more insight into my world...

Monday, March 7, 2011

It's Monday Again....

Today's Never Growing Old Monday questions are:

1.  What is your favorite way to eat potatoes?
This is tough because I love potatoes. French fries, yum, baked, yum yum, scalloped, oh yum... really haven't met a potato I have not loved, I do no think I can choose just one fav way.
2.  What was the last package that was delivered to your house?
Today we received a new camera purchased with credit card points. I'd like to say it was free, but come on, it was with credit card points... I've paid for that camera a 100 times over.
3.  What is your favorite scent that you love to smell?
The smells of the beach - love the salty ocean, camp fires at night, tropical sun tan lotions... heaven on earth is a day at the beach for me.
4.  Do you smoke?
Ick - nope!
5.  Are your parents married or divorced?
My parents split up when I was 20. Horrible. When you are younger your parents tell you where you will spend holidays, when you are older they ask you where you'd like to go. Yeah, like that's a choice one wants to make, hm, let me decide which parent will I make happy and which will I hurt. The first year was brutal. In the end, they are both happier and are the people they should be rather then the people they probably would have been had they stayed together. I love my step parents and the families they each have brought into our lives.

Meet Me On Monday....

Not sure how this works, trying something new.  A blogger just introduced herself to me on my blog and I like her latest post, so I thought I'd try this thing out. Her blog is Never Growing Old which I LOVE the name of (and wish my body would agree with).

She asked the following questions:

1.  What are you wearing right now?
At the moment jeans, running shoes and a black sweatshirt. I know my phone is about to ring any moment and I quickly need to decide if I'm going to change into running clothes and join my friend in what will be a very painful run since I have not done so in a very long time.
2.  Do you have any freckles?
Yes I do because I've always loved the sun (do freckles really come from the sun?). I wouldn't say I have an abnormal amount, and there are none that I'm self conscious about.
3.  What is your favorite Lifesaver flavor?
Growing up in our Christmas stocking we would always have the "book" of life savers. I've continued this tradition with my children. The wintergreen have always been my favorite.
4.  What is the last movie you saw in the theater?
True Grit - entertaining. Do not go to the movies too often, they are too darn expensive. We have a $2.00 theater close, so occasionally we check to see what they're showing and hit that theater up. Can't afford to take out a home loan for a family of 4 to see a movie together!!
5.  Would you rather live without tv or without music?
This is a tough one. Hate to admit but I love watching TV before I call it a night. But how do you live without music? The thought of not hearing worship songs at church, going on long drives in total silence, not putting on the country music I love to listen to while cleaning the house - I think I'll have to say TV.

A Quick "YEAH GOD"....

Oh thank you, thank you, thank you God...

Another unexpected blessing.

Remember the story of the money given to us for Christmas presents? Well, my son lost said money the night of New Years Eve. We had gone to dinner and jokingly he pulled out his wallet and said he's pay. Much to his dismay he ended up recieving a lecture on how foolish it is to carry around that much money ~ yadda yadda yadda I'm sure you know how the lecture goes....

Wouldn't you know it, a week later he trys to locate his wallet and it can not be found. His room is torn apart and the car is searched top to bottom. We know he lost it that night. We call the restaurant, no such luck. He is beyond depressed, there was over $200.00 in that wallet.

I prayed and prayed and prayed for God to show us where the wallet could be. I prayed that my son would see an answer to his prayer just as he had seen with his prayer for his sister (and the lost i-touch). Finally I had given up on it, praying that it at least fell into the hands of someone who needed it as much as I had desired it.

Funny thing ~ this morning I prayed "God, I'm sure the wallet is long gone, but it would be really nice if it could just show up".

Before dinner my daughter was in our car looking for a book - the garage door swings open and she excited yells "I just found Trevor's wallet - it was underneath Mom's seat"!!!!

My husband swears he searched under my seat at least 3 or 4 times. She said it was under a paper towel (I swear my car is relatively clean, not sure what a paper towel was doing under there). My son glowed with pure joy.

And our prayer at dinner was thanking God for answered prayers....

He is so faithful, loving, generous....

Thank you God!

Facebook....

Is sucking up my time...

We want to utilize Facebook for your new business for the social marketing aspect. You can reach a lot of people very quickly. I have a friend who has done so well at this Facebook actually did an email interview with her to assist others. Lucky for me she's a short drive away and she's going to help me out.

So, as much as I want to sit down and write out the next installment of how God blessed us during December, this week I'm burying my head into the world of FB...

But I am reading your posts... You are all such wonderful writers and inspired people... You encourage me, uplift me and motivate me daily...

May God continue to bless you all...

Unexpected Blessing.....

I had no idea I would add this to my post of recent God blessings...

I came home yesterday with an email from my boss with nothing in the subject. Hm... A bit of nervousness came over me, although I did not have a reason to be. She will email me at home from time to time to let me know if we can wear jeans on a "non" jean day, etc...

Let me back up a bit with a little history. I went back to work in September - part time - Wednesday through Friday from 9 till 2. Perfect with my kids school schedule and my Monday/Tuesday commitment to my bible study. So, I've only been back to work for three months...

Back to the email...

I opened it up and realized I was copied - the email was to personnel stating I was to receive a raise effect immediately. Oh ~No ~Way...

Thank you God!!!!

Another God Blessing....

So as I said, God showed Himself in many ways the last few weeks of December...

My daughter bought herself an Itouch with her birthday money in September. The newest 4G model. Of course that thing is attached to her hip. Since my children do not have cell phones, their Itouch has become their link to appearing they may have one (since they look just like the Iphone), and therefore they are "cool".

Anyways...  my family (Aunts, Uncles, Cousins etc) went bowling during our Christmas get together. After bowling and bull riding (yeah, don't ask) we headed out the door. My daughter at this point realized she was no longer in possession of her Itouch. Ugh.

Typical scene ensues - we talk with the guys behind the counter: No, nothing has been turned in. We survey the area where she put down her touch while she put on her bowling shoes. Nothing. We ask the people around the area if they have possibly found it: Nope, no such luck.

Here is what transpired - she took it out of her back pocket, set it on the table while she put her bowling shoes on, and then walked away. We are now talking three hours later when she realizes she doesn't have it.

So, we leave a phone number to the guys behind the counter. A few people send texts to the device (she has an app that allows her to text, make calls and do face time), but we consider it long gone, never to be seen again. We assume my daughter has just learned a very expensive lesson.... All at her expense.

The next morning a call is received, the touch is locked in the manager's safe and can be picked up anytime after 5pm. Praise the Lord! My daughter is beyond excited and my son says, "Mom, I prayed that it would be returned".

I love when I see answers to prayers - I'm extra blessed when my children see them....

Thank you, Lord!
