Before I continue with the rest of '09, I want to give you a little bit more background....
Tiemans Fusion Coffee was established in the summer of 2008. My husband and his partner shook hands one sunny day on the beach in San Clemente and decided to go forward into business.
My husband's business partner is my husband's cousins husband (follow that??!). In a nutshell, he's family. We spent every Saturday night together attending church and dinner afterward. They joined our church small group and were at our home every Wed. night.
The point I'm making is, our relationship was not only based on a social one because we are family, but we were also rooted in the same christian principals and values....
Or so we thought....

It's a shame when someone you supposedly trust and are supposed to be more than family pulls one over on you.
ReplyDeleteThat makes your situation a little more complicated, doesn't it?
ReplyDeleteYou know, I got to thinking...what he did was ILLEGAL and should be reported. Complicated or not. But I'm Monday morning quarterbacking and it's easy for me to make these observations. I will instead offer up prayers for the Lord to guide you in what you need to do. God bless.
ReplyDeleteYes 5th, Illegal it is - however, he didn't see it that way at all...
ReplyDeleteI had no idea, so I read your previous post. What he did was both illegal and immoral, and the fact that he is family makes it suck even more. I also got angry with your parents' comment.
ReplyDeleteI hope this whole situation gets better, but I am adamant on the fact that he doesn't deserve any kind of relationship with you any more. He betrayed you and your husband, your relationship, your trust. Family or not, he scr@wed up. Period.
I am so sorry to hear of all this trouble, but as painful as it it you need to sever ties with this person, and take whatever legal action you can. And I know how difficult that is - we have a 21 year old relative on my husband's side whose hobby it is to commit check fraud and get people to co-sign loans so she can default on them. We kind of knew what she was up to so we never fell for it, but now people are actually on the verge of bankruptcy because of her devious actions. Still, they won't push it because "she's family". Your husband's partner was wrong, but he also has issues...by pushing the matter you'd be protecting yourselves, but also getting him to face up to whatever problems he has and make them right. I hope everything works out for you...Good luck!
ReplyDeleteI have a knot in my stomach...I was hoping the story was going to take a turn for the better.
