It's Monday Again....

Today's Never Growing Old Monday questions are:

1.  What is your favorite way to eat potatoes?
This is tough because I love potatoes. French fries, yum, baked, yum yum, scalloped, oh yum... really haven't met a potato I have not loved, I do no think I can choose just one fav way.
2.  What was the last package that was delivered to your house?
Today we received a new camera purchased with credit card points. I'd like to say it was free, but come on, it was with credit card points... I've paid for that camera a 100 times over.
3.  What is your favorite scent that you love to smell?
The smells of the beach - love the salty ocean, camp fires at night, tropical sun tan lotions... heaven on earth is a day at the beach for me.
4.  Do you smoke?
Ick - nope!
5.  Are your parents married or divorced?
My parents split up when I was 20. Horrible. When you are younger your parents tell you where you will spend holidays, when you are older they ask you where you'd like to go. Yeah, like that's a choice one wants to make, hm, let me decide which parent will I make happy and which will I hurt. The first year was brutal. In the end, they are both happier and are the people they should be rather then the people they probably would have been had they stayed together. I love my step parents and the families they each have brought into our lives.

Meet Me On Monday....

Not sure how this works, trying something new.  A blogger just introduced herself to me on my blog and I like her latest post, so I thought I'd try this thing out. Her blog is Never Growing Old which I LOVE the name of (and wish my body would agree with).

She asked the following questions:

1.  What are you wearing right now?
At the moment jeans, running shoes and a black sweatshirt. I know my phone is about to ring any moment and I quickly need to decide if I'm going to change into running clothes and join my friend in what will be a very painful run since I have not done so in a very long time.
2.  Do you have any freckles?
Yes I do because I've always loved the sun (do freckles really come from the sun?). I wouldn't say I have an abnormal amount, and there are none that I'm self conscious about.
3.  What is your favorite Lifesaver flavor?
Growing up in our Christmas stocking we would always have the "book" of life savers. I've continued this tradition with my children. The wintergreen have always been my favorite.
4.  What is the last movie you saw in the theater?
True Grit - entertaining. Do not go to the movies too often, they are too darn expensive. We have a $2.00 theater close, so occasionally we check to see what they're showing and hit that theater up. Can't afford to take out a home loan for a family of 4 to see a movie together!!
5.  Would you rather live without tv or without music?
This is a tough one. Hate to admit but I love watching TV before I call it a night. But how do you live without music? The thought of not hearing worship songs at church, going on long drives in total silence, not putting on the country music I love to listen to while cleaning the house - I think I'll have to say TV.

A Quick "YEAH GOD"....

Oh thank you, thank you, thank you God...

Another unexpected blessing.

Remember the story of the money given to us for Christmas presents? Well, my son lost said money the night of New Years Eve. We had gone to dinner and jokingly he pulled out his wallet and said he's pay. Much to his dismay he ended up recieving a lecture on how foolish it is to carry around that much money ~ yadda yadda yadda I'm sure you know how the lecture goes....

Wouldn't you know it, a week later he trys to locate his wallet and it can not be found. His room is torn apart and the car is searched top to bottom. We know he lost it that night. We call the restaurant, no such luck. He is beyond depressed, there was over $200.00 in that wallet.

I prayed and prayed and prayed for God to show us where the wallet could be. I prayed that my son would see an answer to his prayer just as he had seen with his prayer for his sister (and the lost i-touch). Finally I had given up on it, praying that it at least fell into the hands of someone who needed it as much as I had desired it.

Funny thing ~ this morning I prayed "God, I'm sure the wallet is long gone, but it would be really nice if it could just show up".

Before dinner my daughter was in our car looking for a book - the garage door swings open and she excited yells "I just found Trevor's wallet - it was underneath Mom's seat"!!!!

My husband swears he searched under my seat at least 3 or 4 times. She said it was under a paper towel (I swear my car is relatively clean, not sure what a paper towel was doing under there). My son glowed with pure joy.

And our prayer at dinner was thanking God for answered prayers....

He is so faithful, loving, generous....

Thank you God!

Facebook....

Is sucking up my time...

We want to utilize Facebook for your new business for the social marketing aspect. You can reach a lot of people very quickly. I have a friend who has done so well at this Facebook actually did an email interview with her to assist others. Lucky for me she's a short drive away and she's going to help me out.

So, as much as I want to sit down and write out the next installment of how God blessed us during December, this week I'm burying my head into the world of FB...

But I am reading your posts... You are all such wonderful writers and inspired people... You encourage me, uplift me and motivate me daily...

May God continue to bless you all...
