Can I Tell You How Much I Dislike......

Buying fitness clothes....

I know, an odd post, but since my work out clothes are a few years old, I thought with the Christmas money I was given I'd break down and buy a few things... hm....

Off to Target I went. Two sports bras and two tank tops would have cost me almost $60.00 (and the sports bra's were on clearance). I just can't do it. Even though I spend a majority of my time in my fitness clothes, and I would love to have darling little matching outfits, I'd rather spend that money on "street" clothes!! Half way to the registers I turned around and put them back.

Off to TJ Max I went. I was able to buy three pairs of running shorts for - get this - $20.00. I really do need more tops (unfortunately not a good selection at TJ's), so, I'm hoping this Sunday Target's will go on sale. I'll pay $9.00 a shirt, but $15.00, that's just too much for me...

  1. It's crazy how much they charge for things!
I Love TJ Maxx & Ross, you can usually find some great deals there. Not to dis Target because when their stuff goes on clearance it's a REAllY great deal :)

  2. I have a hard time shopping at tj's and ross all the time. I don't have the patience anymore to go through the racks, unless i have a specific item i'm looking for, or their home stuff - love that. Target I have to wait for it to go on sale or clearance, but then again, I am the queen of sale/clearance. I rarely pay full price!!

  3. My brother suggested Ross a while back for my fitness clothes. Haven't gone but probably should. I have just enough clothes to get me by, plus I got two workout pants for Christmas so it worked out well for me.

  4. Oh, forgot to ask and now I'm off to the store... do you buy running socks? What are your thoughts on buy socks specifically to run in? I have one pair that I received as a birthday present and I like them a lot but was wondering if it was worth the investment to pick up a couple more pairs and how much is a reasonable price for a pair of running socks. Any help you could give me would be great!

  5. No, I run in my Costco package of champion brand ankle socks. I've never given running socks a thought, probably because I didn't know there was such a thing :) I do remember thinking how comfortable my new socks were compared to older ones I had been wearing. You tell me, how do you like the pair you have?

  6. I just happened to pick up a three-pack of Champion ankle socks today! Ha!

The other pair I have is a Nike brand and it's good. It's got some cushion to it. The pairs I got today also seem like they are cushioned. We'll see how they hold up. Might try a long run on Saturday.

  7. Did you get the new shoes yet? I always dislike the first week in new shoes, never comfortable until their a bit broken in...

  8. Not yet. I'll probably get them soon though. I'll probably get Asics again. I've only had the one pair of running shoes so I'm looking forward to getting another, but not quite looking forward to breaking them in since mine are comfortable still.

  9. That's the only brand I run in. I typically switch styles - I wait for sales, try them on, and if they seem fine on the foot, I go for it. I need a new pair as well, but can probably hold out a bit longer.
